I've been here a couple times and the food has always been amazing. The service is next to none. The experience from the greeting at the door to the end of the meal is always superb.

I once saw a video of a guy who said this about Chinese food (abridged): "When you're looking for a Chinese restaurant, the sweet spot is 3.5 stars. 5 stars is too much because that means they're not authentic, and anything less than 3 stars is too sketchy." And I'll be honest, I don't eat a lot of Chinese food, but I feel like this is accurate. My family always orders from Red Maple for special events (such as Lunar New Year) and we love going for their dim sum cart service (which I didn't realize was a luxury until I moved out from Utah), and I honestly have no complaints about them. Yes, the dish ware is sometimes suspicious and the water may have a floatie or two, BUT the food is always good and that's really what people go to restaurants for. Also, the dim sum cart service is probably the best in Utah, if I'm being quite honest. In terms of food always being fresh and delicious as well as having that unique dim sum experience, this is the restaurant I would take my friends to if I had to introduce them to dim sum.

Red Maple has been in this area for several years. The building is definitely showing wear and tear, but the food is always delicious here. Our server today was kind and attentive. My go to dish French style beef is consistently so tender and flavorful. Atop a generous portion of sautéed onions and plated inside a lettuce leaf. It was my first time trying the whole flounder. Which is deep fried whole and served with a soy type sauce and scallions. It was tender and moist inside. I wish they would trim the outside border of the flounder (fin) where a lot of small bones and little meat is. Other than that I thoroughly enjoyed this dish. The sesame beef looked dry, but it wasn't. I don't know the preparation process for this dish, but it has a crunch on the outside and tender inside. A slightly sweeter soy marinade and served with fried wonton wrapper as a garnish. We also tried whole shrimp that had a soy ginger glaze. Another delicious dish. Red Maple has an extensive menu. You really cannot go wrong here. I'll be back to try more dishes.

Red Maple had me feeling like a Kung Fu master - conquered mountains of delicious food! General Tso's chicken had a kick like Bruce Lee's roundhouse. Definitely recommend for hungry pandas and adventurous eaters. Just avoid the fortune cookies - they seemed to predict my future food coma. Ask for Lenny! She is amazing!

The food had a great presentation. Definitely worth the $20 because you get a soup, egg roll, fried shrimp, cream cheese wonton in addition to the plate. I don't eat that much Chinese food, but it was a great place and would come again.

I was pleasantly surprised to find such a nice dim sum restaurant in SLC. We ordered the hot & sour soup, har gow, siu mai, gai lan, and beef tripe. The food was ordered by menu (not the traditional carts) and came out piping hot. Everything tasted really good. The restaurant was clean. The wait staff were all very friendly and pleasant.
